About Cherrie

Cherrie La Porte has been creating glass art for over 20 years in North County San Diego. Her designs reflect a distinctive, abstract contemporary style. Blazing new trails of creativity and originality in mosaic and fused glass, her unique glass art can be seen worldwide. Sculptures, custom mosaics and jewelry are collected by San Diego residents and tourists, as well as national and international collectors. Her glass installations can be seen in hospitals, corporate environments and as public art.

Combining the inspiration of the iconic surfboard form with the desire to make things beautiful, Cherrie has taken mosaic and fused glass art to a new level. Using recycled surfboards that have retired from the waves, she transforms them into an explosion of texture and color, each spinning it’s own story. These mosaic glass sculptures are artful conversation pieces that leave a lasting impression.

Cherrie’s goal is to continue expanding in the arts and creating beautiful pieces that inspire, heal and bring many smiles. Contact Cherrie to discuss a mosaic glass surfboard or a unique custom glass art project for you!
